We have been proudly expanding our QBanks, developing new mobile applications and improving our features and user interface to better serve you.
View all our Milestones
We have optimized all the parameters for you so that you don't have to start over every time. When you login to your QBank, it directly takes you to the create test page with all the popular test parameters preset for you. All you need to do is click the "Create Test" button and your test is launched.
CanadaQBank gives you the opportunity to challenge yourself against other users by taking tests in timed mode. Your results will reveal how well you performed when compared to all users who took tests with a similar combination of questions.
CanadaQBank has created a feature within each MCQ that allows you to place the selected question in a separate section for future reference and revision. This feature is called "My Questions" and with it you can add a particular MCQ to your selected list of questions that can be reviewed at a later stage.
You can add your own notes inside each MCQ and review them at a later stage. This makes the learning process more interesting and allows you to review your own notes during revisions.
In fact you can take the "notes" feature one step further. Create your notes within the MCQ and then add the MCQ to the "My Questions" section. These questions with notes can be reviewed on a separate section of the user interface. This creates a highly impressive overall customization and greatly enhances your quality of learning.
Everybody has to start somewhere. Perhaps you are a medical student starting your preparation early or a well experienced physician who has lost touch with academics. You can now start with the "Easy" level of questions and then gradually work your way up to the "Medium" and "Hard" difficulty levels.
Learning moods will vary from time to time. Which means that you may need to introduce variety into your learning regimen. So rather than using the typical test mode, you can use the "topics mode" and master one topic at a time. The ultimate goal is to keeping moving forward regardless of your learning style. The topics mode helps you move ahead one small step at a time.
Before you can become a practicing pharmacist in Canada, you have to take the PEBC (Pharmacy Education Board of Canada) exam. This includes both Canadian graduates, US graduates, and graduates from other countries.
The examination is meant to holistically evaluate your skill and knowledge of pharmacy principles as well as your ability to apply them clinically. The PEBC does this by putting you through two rigorous tests - PEBC Part 1 and PEBC Part 2.
It is sectioned into two parts the -
● PEBC Part 1
● PEBC Part 2
The PEBC Part 1 is focused on your knowledge of the basic pharmacy principles. It also tests your ability to think critically under pressure because each question should be answered in just 90 seconds.
The examination is in a multiple-choice question format, and there are 300 of these questions. However, the questions are split into 2 150-question blocks with 225 minutes to finish each block.
This is why we have resources at CanadaQBank to help you master the PEBC exam
This part of the PEBC is taken after part 1 on another day. It is more practical-oriented as it tests your practical applications of pharmacy skills with actual patients. It is meant to mimic actual real-life scenarios. So, during the exam, you interact with simulated patients, clients, caregivers, and examiners who will score you.
The examiners will evaluate your composure, knowledge of drug therapy, how you assess the patient, your clinical decisions, and how you relate to the patients and caregivers.
You can attempt the PEBC exams a total of four times, but before you write the exam for the fourth and final time, you need to complete remediation.
On very rare occasions, you can write the exam again, but you have to be granted special permission. This is usually on the grounds of medical issues or compassion.
Remember that an attempt is only counted if you write and fail, not if you miss the exam. For you to pass, you need to get at least 60 percent out of the 200 obtainable marks.
For international graduates
● The relevant Canadian authorities should have verified your pharmacy degree.
● You may need to write the IELTS exam as some provinces in Canada requires it.
For US graduates
● You should have a degree from a pharmacy school accredited by the Council for Accreditation of Pharmacy Programs (CCAPP) or the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE).
For Canadian graduates
● You need to have a pharmacy degree from an accredited institution
First, you need to create an account on the PEBC portal. When you do this, you'll have to submit certain documents to be verified. This will include your transcript, valid identification, and original certificate. After it is verified, you should see a place on the portal where you can apply to write the PEBC Part 1 and PEBC Part 2.
If all goes fine, after you choose which part you want to take, you ought to receive an email through which you can then schedule your exam on Prometric.
