"My Questions" Feature

CanadaQBank has created a feature within each MCQ that allows you to place the selected question in a separate section for future reference and revision. This feature is called "My Questions" and with it you can add a particular MCQ to your selected list of questions that can be reviewed at a later stage.

Notes Section

You can add your own notes inside each MCQ and review them at a later stage. This makes the learning process more interesting and allows you to review your own notes during revisions.

"Questions with Note" Feature

These questions with notes can be reviewed on a separate section of the user interface. This creates a highly impressive overall customization and greatly enhances your quality of learning.

The topics mode helps you move ahead one small step at a time.

AMC

The AMC (Australian Medical Council) is an exam written by medical graduates from Australia or foreign medical graduates before starting their medical internship training in Australia. The examination is meant to access their medical knowledge, competency in clinical practice, and basic understanding of medical principles.

The AMC exam includes a CAT (Computer Adaptive Test), MCQ (Multiple Choice Questions), and a cinical assessment, or workplace-based assessment.

Writing the AMC

The AMC exam is broadly divided into the AMC CAT and the Clinical Examination parts. However, we will focus on the AMC CAT.

AMC CAT

The AMC CAT is a computer-based examination that lasts for one day and is meant to evaluate your understanding of clinical cases that you would meet in actual-world practice through a series of multiple-choice questions. These questions can be gotten areas in medicine such as pediatrics, obstetrics & gynecology, and psychiatry.

The AMC CAT has 35 questions from Medicine, 25 questions from Surgery, 15 from Obstetrics and Gynecology, 15 questions from Paediatrics, 15 from Psychiatry, and another 15 questions from General Practice. Note that about 30 questions will be unscored.

The question that you will be answering will evaluate your understanding of pathological and non-pathological processes as well as your knowledge of therapy and management.

The examination takes three and a half hours to complete. The score you need to pass is 250, and it is only after you get a passing score in this examination that you will then be able to write the clinical component.

Attempting the AMC exam

You can sit for the AMC exam for as long as you need to. The AMC CAT does not have a limit to how much you can write it. However, this does not mean that you won't study well because one exam costs $2,720!

To ensure you get an excellent score, visit us at CanadaQBank.

Requirements to write the AMC

To write the AMC, you must fulfill all of the following criteria.

● Have an MBBS/MD degree from a school in the World Directory of Medical Schools
● If you're a foreign graduate, your degree must have been verified by the ECFMG International Credentials Services (EICS).

Scheduling the AMC CAT exam

The application process for the AMC exam is pretty straightforward.

The first thing you will do is establish an AMC portfolio. To do this, you will submit your medical degree for verification to ensure that the medical school you went to is a valid one.

The next thing you do is make an EPIC account and verify your identity on ECFMG. You will then receive an EPIC ID.

After that, create an AMC Portfolio with your EPIC ID and finish your portfolio application, and then your AMC candidate number will be sent to you.

You'd then upload your qualifications and relevant documents like valid identification, transcript, etc to your EPIC account for certification. When this completes, you can then apply for the AMC CAT. You do this through a form you fill out, after which you will be assigned an exam date.
